QTTMPC’s whole day Livelihood
Training and Orientation Seminar held on April 16, 2013 at Lucena City National High
School Main Campu, Red-V, Lucena City
which was attended by 979 participants from Barangays Ransohan,
Barra, Dalahican, Talao-Talao, Gulang-Gulang, Iyam and Market View.
It aims to: 1.) Promote and mobilize support for tourism from all sectors - government, businesses and general populace; 2)
Develop a culture of sustainable
tourism among the local people; 3)
Institutionalize community
participation in planning,
development, implementation and monitoring of projects; 4) Promote environmental education and ethics; 5) Develop capability of coop members; 6) Facilitate direct domestic and foreign
investments to fill gaps in improving required facilities; 7) Develop globally competitive tourism products for quality visitor’s experience; 8)
Ensure benefits redound to
local community; and in response to the NES/DENR/DOT’s mandate in adhering ecotourism
and countryside tourism development.
